On weekends in November and December, there’s new wine and jazz to taste and get to know at Herdade da Barrosinha.
“Wine & Jazz Weekends”, a program that unites gastronomy and oenology, in the heart of the Alentejo, on the banks of the River Sado.
Bringing together gastronomy, oenology and jazz is the proposal from Herdade da Barrosinha, located two kilometers from Alcácer do Sal. The “Wine & Jazz Weekends” is an initiative to be enjoyed during the months of November and December, namely on the weekends of November 15, 22 and 29 and December 6 and 13.
The program includes tastings of Barrosinha wines accompanied by the resident oenologist, Sara Carapinha, dinner in the hotel restaurant and a jazz concert on Saturday. On Sunday, it’s time to enjoy an excellent Portuguese stew at the ‘Taberna’.
The “Wine & Jazz Weekends” can be booked for €326 with accommodation and breakfast, wine tasting, dinner, concert and Sunday lunch included for two people and for €249 for a single room.
The live jazz concert will also be available to visitors who are not staying at the hotel.
After arriving in Barrosinha on Friday, the program continues on Saturday at 5pm with a wine tasting at the winery. At 7pm, dinner will take place in the hotel restaurant, accompanied by a jazz concert. On Sunday, at 12.30 p.m., the invitation includes a tasting of Cozido à Portuguesa at the Taberna.
