The list is compiled by Condé Nast Traveller magazine. The national reference is one of the first to be made.
Looking for your next travel destination? What if instead of going to a big city in Europe, you look for one that’s smaller but full of charm? Condé Nast Traveller magazine has created a list of the most beautiful small towns and cities in Europe. One of them is in Portugal, of course.
According to the publication, Guimarães deserves to be on this list. References are made to the city’s squares, neighborhood stores and history. The historic center and the castle are also highlighted.
Guimarães is the only national suggestion on this list. The publication even says that the Portuguese city is slightly larger in terms of size and population than the others. Even so, it deserves to be among those chosen.
Český Krumlov, in Czechia, is another must-see. They explain that it has just over 13,000 inhabitants. The Gothic castle is one of the must-sees when you visit.
Bled, in Slovenia, is also on the list. The lake that gives the town its name is one of the most popular in the country. There’s no shortage of views perfect for taking good photos.
