Caldo verde, chicken soup, vegetable cream, stone soup or fish soup. As a starter, before the main course or just as a light meal. There’s no turning back – the Portuguese love soups and broths. If they arrive at the table piping hot and accompanied by good bread, that’s even better.

Sopa de Feijao Manteiga

After all, how many soups could you devour in four hours? Perhaps you’ve never thought about this question until now, but you’ll have the opportunity to take up this challenge on November 30, during the Benfica Soup Festival.

Admission costs €7.50 and includes a clay bowl. With it, you can explore the various stalls and taste the variety of soups on offer.
