The DISRUPTION open innovation program developed by Delta Ventures, a unit of the Nabeiro Group – Delta Cafés, challenges Portuguese startups and applications are open until January 12.

This initiative challenged companies to develop new business ideas in three strategic areas: Sustainability, Digital Transformation and new products and services.

DISRUPTION was created in 2022/23, and is aimed at national and international startups, and is the acceleration program, developed in collaboration with I-match, to boost disruptive solutions and aims to generate partnerships with a vision of the future.

“Startups whose solutions have already been technically validated in real market conditions, which best adapt to the Nabeiro Group’s value chain and which have the potential to scale nationally and internationally, after implementing the pilot project in Portugal, will have the opportunity to work together with the Group and make a difference in the future,” explains the company led by Rui Miguel Nabeiro in a statement.

After the application and evaluation phase, 10 selected startups will take part in a bootcamp for a month to develop their projects, work with mentors from the Group and experts from the Portuguese innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, with a view to increasing the joint business value proposition and accelerating the development of new solutions tailored to the Nabeiro Group’s reality.

This will be followed by the final pitch on March 25, where three to five solutions will be selected to receive funding for their projects. Finally, there will be a development phase for the winning solutions together with the entrepreneurs and startups that will collaborate with the Delta Ventures unit.

Starting in November 2023, applications close on January 12 and can be submitted at www.disruption.pt.
